WiDi (pronounced Why Die) is a wireless technology used to connect PCs to TVs, with the conditions
that both support it. If the TV does not support it then a WiDi adapter
(by e.g. Net Gear) can be connected to the TV via HDMI.
You can only however control the TV using the PC. I am guessing it stands for Wireless Display.
