SERVICE ALERT: SALIK (Dubai)



SUMMARY
SALIK fined me for passing by its toll gates without the new license plates, then took around a month asking me details they could have accessed anyway, just to tell me to visit a branch to submit the violation dispute to them :/


REVIEW
Not only did SALIK not really solve the traffic problems, but I got a violation from SALIK that I paid to the Vehicle & Licensing Department in Abu Dhabi, for passing through the toll bridges while having the old system's license plate :S

Nobody informed me that there are new license plates in the city where I registered the car, and nobody informed me (not even SALIK) that I would be fined for using the old license plate, and my time to renew the vehicle registration did not yet come, so why would I even update the plate, and why would I be fined for not updating it before the renewal deadline, without being informed?

Not only that, but they asked me questions about me, the vehicle, its owner, its registration, its registration image, and my SALIK account details in FULL for around a month, and then they tell me to visit a branch.

3. Barsha Tasjeel station ( behind Bur Dubai Police Station – Sheikh Zayed Road ) – (Saturday to Thursday - 7:30am till 9:00pm)
4. Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department (Abu Dhabi - Traffic (Murrour) Road ) – (Sunday to Thursday -7:30am till 8:00pm)
5. Sharjah - Traffic & Licensing (Al Ramtha - Near Sharjah Driving Institution & Central Jail) - (Sunday to Thursday -7:30am till 2:30pm)

After all the information you requested for entire month and now you are telling me that there are no Salik violations? These are violations by Salik that I paid at the Abu Dhabi traffic department before renewal and changing of the license plate to the new format.
Please refund the Salik fines stated; they are associated with the records at the traffic department that I already paid. Just because I paid them and are from last year does not mean that they cannot be refunded.
